Loop Weave Stitch is a cooperative fiber arts studio created by three polycraftual librarians. Jenn, Wendy, and Laura met while working at a local public library. Life split our career paths, but crafting kept us connected.
In early 2023, we each found ourselves at another crossroads in life. We decided to stick together and take the scariest path before us: starting our own business. We each have a passion for sharing our love of all things crafty, but circumstances made it so that we could no longer share face-to-face. Thus, creating an online fiber arts shop seemed like a logical, if terrifying, next step.
Here we can focus on creating learning and making experiences for want-to-be stitchers and advanced makers alike because making is for everyone.
Jenn loves all things cute and fluffy, her hobby of choice is sewing plush toys by hand! While she’s an accomplished quilter, she’s a new knitter and crocheter. She’s loving learning these new skills and testing beginner patterns. Jenn’s home is shared with her two pet bunnies, but they aren’t allowed in the craft room. Mostly she loves to listen to an audiobook while working on her next plush friend.
Laura loves learning anything and everything. She will obsess over a new hobby until she has learned enough to teach it to someone else… and then drop it like a hot rock leaving only storage bins stuffed with very hobby-specific supplies as proof the obsession ever happened. She likes being a Jack of All Trades, but at least she has mastered one: no matter what the hobby-of-the-month may be, knitting is always at the top of her love-to list.
Wendy has been sewing off and on since she was 12. She has gone back and forth between hand sewing Barbie clothes, sewing stuffies for everyone she knows, and sewing her own wardrobe constantly for the past 19 years. Her grandmother tried to teach her to crochet as a child, but Wendy found it too hard, only to pick it up as an adult and love it. The process of learning a new craft or technique is one of her favorite hobbies.
