A Slow Start
Welcome, Stitchers! We are happy to have you here with us.
We are planning on starting slow here at Loop Weave Stitch to ensure we are only offering you our very best.
Right now, we are all working on patterning various knitted accessories and handsewn dolls (and business startup matters, of course), but we have so many things planned:
Storybook Collections
We are dreaming up our characters and the worlds they inhabit at this very moment. You will be able to enter those worlds through our storybooks and then bring the characters to life through our detailed patterns which will feature various fiber arts skills.
Instructional Videos and Projects
We will be creating very short videos on tips, tricks, and basic fiber arts skills and posting them here. Longer videos will dig deep into learning a new craft or particular skills. Many of the longer videos will revolve around a fully documented instructional project - think samplers - that will help you work through the learning process.
Listen Alongs
There is nothing much better than listening to a good audiobook while working on your latest project. We will suggest audiobooks and give you a little background on why we think it is worth your precious time and brain power. Jenn, Wendy, and I have very different tastes in literature, so there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy.
Watch Alongs
In my mind at least, the only other thing that rivals a good audiobook while crafting is a good movie. So, I will post suggestions for weekend double-feature craft sessions with a little background information and why I think these movies really speak to my weird and dark soul. I have found that a brain that loves a gory slasher film can also love a nice, cuddly granny shawl. Turns out one can love Jason Voorhees and Sandra Bullock.
